Our Philosophy
At Advocate Lawyers, we pride ourselves on representing your best interests. We listen to our clients when they tell us what is important to them and ensure we give frank, practical advice that helps them get where they want to go.
Respectful & Resolution-Focused
In litigation matters, we conduct proceedings in a way you can be proud of, avoiding disputes about the petty issues and ensuring that we do not escalate matters where there is no need to escalate them.
In the first instance, we always approach matters assuming they can be resolved. We love having long-term relationships with our clients, but we know that no one wants to be involved in drawn-out court proceedings if they can avoid it.
Transparent Fees and Pricing
We know that money is important to everyone and it’s an unfortunate reality that lawyers cost money. We aim to be transparent in our fee structure and our estimates of costs. We also provide our clients with various payment options, including direct debit payment plans, so that they can decide what works for them.
We Welcome Feedback
We also appreciate feedback – it is what makes us grow! If at any time you have any concerns about your matter or the way we represent you, we are happy to deal with it then and there.
Flexibility
We know that not everyone who needs a lawyer has time to travel to a face-to-face meeting during business hours. We provide convenience to our clients through providing flexibility on:
Our locations
We have offices in Hobart and Kingston for in-person appointments.
Meet Via Phone or Video
If you are not near an office or are too busy to visit in person, we are happy to meet with you using Zoom, Microsoft Teams or on the phone.
Times we are available
We can meet you either side of the normal 9am-5pm if necessary.
Not Near Our Office? Rural & Regional clients
Not able to get to one of our offices? No problem. Because we are flexible with meeting by phone or video if necessary we can take instructions from you no matter where you are located within Tasmania. While our offices are currently in southern Tasmania, if your matter is in a Court located in Launceston, Devonport or Burnie we may still be able to represent you as many court matters are now conducted by video conference and do not require your lawyer to be physically at the Court.
